[QTI] randomisation in adaptive questions

Hello all,
 
Can anyone please tell me how, in an adaptive question that involves randomised
template variables, you can tell the renderer to re-randomise all (or perhaps selected)
template variables?
 
I have had quite a look for this, but am obviously looking in all the wrong places.
