Hi,
1. QTI 2.0 is the question part of the specification, QTI 2.1 adds
assessment and other features.
2. There probably a few errors in the examples... Can you let me know
which ones you're having problems with?
3. I think http://qtiengine.qtitools.org/ is a complete player, and
probably is the best one to use. The earlier players from qtitools.org
are also good.
4. Use 2.1, however also make use of the 2.0 documentation for
questions.
It's also important to remember that IMS only recommend the CC profile
of 1.2, not the full 1.2 specification (which has many more problems
than either 2.0 or 2.1). The CC profile is very limited, but is the way
to go if you want to write questions that will play in current VLEs.
Niall

Subject: [QTI] Questions on QTI v2.0
Hi,
I just joined this group and have some questions. Any help would be
appreciated.
We are trying to implement QTI in our content authoring application and
the answers to these questions can be very helpful.
1. First of all, we are planning to use QTI 2.0 spec, but I heard
from several members that it is not complete.
2. Secondly, I am getting basic schema validation errors with some
examples. Not sure if this is a problem with 2.0 XSD or the Sample XML
files on IMS site. I am using W3C online xsd validator and Altova XML
Spy.
3. Are there any up-to-date QTI Players that can play qti items?
Most of them seem to be buggy or not working anymore.
4. In terms of general direction, should we be using 2.0 or 2.1? I
did notice that 2.1 spec has been withdrawn.
Please advice,
Srikar
