As yet another QTI v2.1 implementer, I would like to join the general
dismay at the
IMS decision to withdraw the specification. It is important to many
in the sciences,
with its intrinsic support of numeric question cloning and mathml.
Its support of
adaptive questions is also of serious interest to those attempting to
introduce the
use of assessments as learning aids that go well beyond simple
'formative feedback'.
What is the preferred route for getting the views currently being
expressed on this list
back to IMS? Is this list already being copied them?
I am curious to know the composition of the "set of leading
organizations to take the
lead on this new work", and also "its deficiencies [that] are well
known".
Dick Bacon.
