Niall,
I pulled down some sample stuff on 2.0 from IMS's website. Not
finding a great sample doc with multiple questions... any pointers you
could give me on finding several good samples? Also I have a several
PDF documents, any pointers on the name of the one I should focus on?

It'll be a joint meeting of the CETIS Assessment, Enterprise and Portfolio special interest groups looking at issues of concern to all three SIGs such as the storage and movement of assessment data between systems. I'll send more information to the list once the agenda has been confirmed and registrations are open.
