Thanks Niall for the plug for the SIG :-) We can be found at http://jisc.cetis.ac.uk/domain/assessment Our meetings are free and open to anyone who would like to attend.

Our next meeting hasn't been formally announced yet, but it's planned for 22 May here in Glasgow. It'll be a joint meeting of the CETIS Assessment, Enterprise and Portfolio special interest groups looking at issues of concern to all three SIGs such as the storage and movement of assessment data between systems. I'll send more information to the list once the agenda has been confirmed and registrations are open.

I'm also thinking very tentatively about running an online SIG event sometime after the summer, which would obviously make participation much easier for people outside the UK - if anyone would be interested in participating in such an event or would like to suggest topics that would be useful to cover please do let me know!

Best wishes,
Rowin

Rowin Young
JISC CETIS Assessment SIG Coordinator

2.0 is the item specification and is the latest that is 'final', 2.1 is
very close, but not quite there due to changes in the IMS process for
approving final specifications.

If you check out Steve Lay's presentation at
http://wiki.cetis.ac.uk/Assessment_and_EC_SIGs_meeting_Feb_2008 that
gives an update on the current state of 2.1.

I don't know of any C# QTI resources that are public, but you should be
able to learn a lot by looking at the Java code at
http://www.qtitools.org/ and http://sourceforge.net/projects/apis

Questions about QTI 2.* to this list usually get quite quick answers as
well.

If you're in (or near) the UK it's quite a good idea to go to CETIS
Assessment SIG meetings too - lots of people working with QTI usually
attend. I think the next one will be in about 3 months, probably in
Edinburgh.

Niall.
