Question:
Outlook Express stops me from viewing/opening attachments, saying they are "unsafe", what should I do?

Answer:
This problem is a result of a Windows Update, and full details are available from Microsoft at the following web address:

If you're a digest member we suggest that you change to recieving the messages individually. You can change this on your 'Subscriber Options' page.

Alternatively, you can disable this feature as follows:

Select "Options" from the Tools menu, click on the Security tab, and uncheck the box that says "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus".

Note that by switching this off, and using Outlook, you may expose yourself to those unsafe attachments the feature is intended to stop.
